Roy Presents the Hall of Fame Award to
John Denver's Mother Erma and Brother Ron.
In January of 2005 I had the honor of receiving the Hall of Fame Award for John Denver at the German American Country Music Awards show in Germany. Finally after two years, I was allowed the honor of presenting this award to John's mother Erma and brother Ron Deutschendorf in Aspen Colorado in October of 2007. (Front of Award Photo Courtesy of Christine Moon) The event was attended by many notable people in John's life of which you will see photos of several below. Was this not only an honor in and of itself, I made many new friends.
I especially wish to express much gratitutide to Jim Curry who made this arrangment possible by inviting me to not only present the award to John's family but to perform Country Roads during his own show in Aspen.
