SONGWRITING STUDIO

SONGWRITING STUDIO

Many of you have asked about how my songwriting studio is set up, so here's a quick peek at it. I've got a cozy but efficient space to write and record with. Also, all of the main equipment I use day in and day out is relatively inexpensive. The first pic is my main writing desk. It's got all the basics with the Tascam Model 12 mixer (which I adore for writing with!), a PreSonus Studio Channel preamp, and my Avid Eleven Rack for guitar processing.

I use a Stream Deck to help me utilize shortcuts on all the various software. My main monitors are PreSonus Eris E5's which more than fill my small room, and I have a smaller set of PreSonus Eris 3.5's for regular computer audio when I'm not doing music.

My main studio mic is an old GrooveTube GT55 which sounds awesome running through the Studio Channel. My main guitar is a Taylor 818e, then I have my first pro guitar which is the Taylor 614ce, and I'm learning some things on the little electric Gretsch G2210.

Rounding out my gear, I've got a small Axiom 61 midi controller keyboard, an inexpensive set of electronic drums in the Alesis Nitro Mesh kit, and my much loved live mixer in the PreSonus StudioLive 32SC. This mixer is for the seldom times when I'm out playing with other musicians.
